This space is so fun, we love it and we built it from the ground up and down. There is something for all the kids, while being nestled under the shade of a wattle forest keeping our young safe from the heat of the day.
Kidsville is a nature-based playground hosting activities, adventures, and explorations in bushcraft, mud and water play, swings, climbing obstacles, a sandpit and trampoline, storytelling, dancing, face painting and plenty more!
Kidsville is about fostering a love of nature locally so that our young are connected and care for the natural world around them. This will help to grow healthy connected youth who are more capable of comprehending the environmental issues we/they face.
The Kidsville ethos is underpinned by trailblazing environmental educator David Sobel and his study 'Beyond Ecophobia'. David is an American educator and Academic, responsible for developing the philosophy of place-based education.
"If we really want children to flourish, we need to give them time to connect with nature and love the Earth before we ask them to save it" - David Sobel.
