Wild Kids for children ages 4 - 12 is a child led pop in and out space to encourage independence and build confidence, while making new friends. Risk taking is valued and encouraged within safe limits. Together we will build resilient kids that thrive. Kids can be dropped off or adults stay and play. Younger siblings are welcome. Activities include:
- nature investigations
- mud and water play
- bushcraft
- tree climbing
- cubby building
- whittling
- bush swings and zip lines
- fire by friction
- test out real tools such as hand drills and mini saws
- sensory play
Nature. Be in it. creates unique, outdoor, sensory experiences for children ages birth to 12. They have been operating highly engaging programs in schools, holidays and for families for the past 3.5 years in southern Tasmania. Founded by Kara Spence, a Teacher, former Park Ranger, Forest School Leader and Nature and Forest Therapy Guide. She is an expert in Inquiry Based Learning with over 30 years experience working with children and communities through unique outdoor sensory experiences.
