Car Pass
If you're driving a fossil fuelled vehicle to Pangaea then a vehicle pass is required.
This fee goes towards mitigating the footprint from driving your fossil fuelled vehicle to the festival, with funds going directly to The Tasmanian Land Conservancy. Tas Land Conservancy cares for a nature reserve next to Pangaea Festival, Prosser River Reserve. Your car pass will support an important restoration of the critically endangered black gum (E. ovata) forest on that reserve. The black gum forest in ‘Back Valley’, either side of Stonehurst Road. Whilst this forest is in relatively good condition, TLC needs to return the diversity of grasses, herbs and shrubs to the understory to enhance the woodland. This project will benefit a nationally critically endangered ecological community and enhance the habitat of native animals.
Donate - to mitigate your festival footprint
Funds from your donations go directly to Tas Land Conservancy towards their network of reserves covering over 18,500ha, and protecting some of the most important natural areas in Tasmania. They conserve critical habitat for rare and threatened species and are safe havens for the future. Your contribution will conserve many of the plants and animals that make Tasmania so special while also securing extensive carbon stores held in the diverse habitat and ecosystems.
Companion Card / Accessibility
Eligible people with lifelong accessibility requirements are welcome to attend Pangaea Festival without incurring the cost of a second ticket for their companion. We are affiliated with the Tasmania Companion Card program, you can find out more details about it on the website.
Please get in touch with Pangaea festival to discuss your Companion Card holder and their entry: @email
Why is my ticket such a bargain?
Your ticket to Pangaea contributes to not only paying for the MASSIVE 3 day event programme, which consists of over 180 Local and national artists & facilitators, required permits, licences and red tape, but also directly contributes to paying over 50 local operational staff - some for 6 months, some for 3 months and some for a month and under, along with handfuls of local service providers and suppliers in allied industries - who in turn provide their staff with ongoing employment.
Be proud to know that you have contributed to a leading sustainable festival model which tackles the problem of take/make/waste, striving to prove this no longer needs to be the norm in the festival scene.
By purchasing a ticket to Pangaea and contributing to the above, and whilst having fun you have been part of the direct input of over $500,000 to the local economy. Not a bad effort for 3 days camping in the bush!!
