Teresa Dixon & The Deep Blue Sea play gritty, alt-country folk songs of love, loss and hope. Taking songs from Dixon’s first album ‘Bass Strait’ and her brand new album ‘Way Down South’, they tell stories of the healing power of nature, place and reflection, with some self-deprecating songs about drinking and failed love thrown into the mix.
Having recently played a series of festivals collectively and a plethora of shows internationally in other acts, the band consists of violinist Hannah Morrell (The Stragglers & The Dead Maggies), renowned Tasmanian double bass player Hamish Stevenson, everyone’s favourite little brother David Dixon on drums (The Sketches & The Dead Maggies), and well known and loved singer songwriter Zac Henderson on lead guitar.
