Musician and writer Teresa Beck-Swindale launched her book, album and audiobook in late 2021, titled “Travels with my suitcase; from Tasmania in search of sound”.
A musician on the road travels with an ear to the ground. Tales of suitcases, sculptures and instrumental characters collide in a compendium of discoveries across the island state of Tasmania, to southern Europe and back, creating a travelogue memoir with song lyrics and jottings from a community artist and a sub plot - There is no Planet B.
This new book and album will be for sale at Pangaea along with previous recordings.
Teresa’s writing and composition focus on sustainability and ethical dilemmas with works such as Gaseous Wrap, Maps of the Imagination, Olegas, Against all Odds and There is no Planet B (all on Spotify and YouTube).
Experience readings from the book and music from the album, inside the icosahedron designed and built by Tony Swindale as an experiment in alternative portable architecture. This is an example of the sustainable lifestyle we have created and continue to promote, both in town and in our forest retreat, where we built fully independent off-the-grid living systems, including the music studio.
Listeners will be given a "There is no Planet B" sticker which Teresa produces.
